Cremation or burial
Cremation
- Local crematoriums include: Preston, Charnock Richard, West Lancashire (Burscough), Lytham Park, Southport, Pleasington (Blackburn)
- Some crematoria provide webcasts for those unable to attend, and visual tributes – please enquire about availability
Burial
- Burials can take place in churchyards and cemeteries, either after a service in church or at another venue, or with a graveside service
- Local cemeteries include Preston Cemetery and Hill Road Cemetery (Penwortham)
- Costs and availability of graves can be dependant on where the deceased lived
Direct cremation
- There is no service, and family and friends cannot attend the crematorium
- A direct cremation can be useful if cost is a consideration
- A hearse is still provided, and music is played as the coffin enters the chapel
Religious or Non-religious funeral
Religious

Non-religious

- service in a non-religious setting, such as a hall or other venue

- Specialised facilities for washing and preparing the body of the deceased
- Close links with the Hindu community
Whatever type of funeral chosen, including direct cremation, we always allow viewing of the body if possible.
